What you get
The Magic V6 is a book-style foldable with a 6,660mAh silicon-carbon battery, a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip and a 3x periscope zoom camera, and Honor quotes 8.75mm thick and 219g for the white version. That makes it lighter than the iPhone Duo (254g) and gives it the optical zoom the Duo lacks. Its weak points, per Tech Advisor, are an ultrawide camera that struggles at night and video without Dolby Vision or 4K at 120fps. Our iPhone Duo vs Honor Magic V6 comparison goes through design, screens, cameras, battery and software in detail.
Is it a good deal?
At £1,169.99 the Magic V6 undercuts every other book-style foldable we cover by a wide margin: the Galaxy Z Fold 8 has a £1,699 RRP, the Pixel 11 Pro Fold starts at £1,799 and the iPhone Duo at £1,999. If you are on Android, want a big battery and a zoom lens, and don’t need the newest launch, it is the foldable to look at this Black Friday. If you use an iPhone and want to stay in iOS, the Duo is still the only option; see our iPhone Duo review roundup.
Two checks before you buy: the code is applied at checkout on Honor’s own store, so make sure the final total shows £1,169.99; and compare the price with other retailers, since Black Friday prices often move.
