Galaxy Z Fold 8 Discounts: Samsung’s Code and Where the Real Savings Are
By Alex Turner • 3 October 2026 • 6 min read
Foldables hold their launch price longer than ordinary flagships, so a meaningful cut on a current-generation Fold is worth paying attention to. Samsung UK is currently running one.
What Samsung UK is offering
As reported by SamMobile on 3 September 2026, Samsung UK introduced discount code ZAPP10, giving 10% off all storage variants of the Galaxy Z Flip 8, Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra.
That stacks with a further £100 off when checking out with PayPal, trade-in savings of up to £730 depending on device and condition, and reductions of £85 to £170 already applied to the 512GB and 1TB models. Bundled perks include six months of Google AI Pro, three months of Samsung Care+, and 30% off Galaxy cases and chargers.
Samsung has not published an expiry date for the code, which in our experience means it can disappear without notice.
Look beyond Samsung too
Retailer pricing has moved sharply as well. GSMArena reported on 26 September that the Galaxy Z Fold 8 had fallen to around €1,430 on Amazon Germany, roughly €570 off, with the Z Flip 8 down to about €850.
Those are euro prices on a German retailer, so they are not directly available to UK buyers. We mention them because they tell you something useful: the whole Fold 8 line is being discounted across Europe, which usually means UK retailer pricing follows. Compare Samsung’s own store against the major UK retailers rather than assuming Samsung is cheapest.
Three things people regret not checking
The crease is still there. Every current book-style foldable has a visible crease down the fold. It is far less obtrusive than it was, but it does not vanish.
Weight and thickness. A Fold is two phones’ worth of hardware. If you want something that disappears into a pocket, look at the Flip 8 instead.
Durability expectations. These are rated for water but not for dust the way a conventional flagship is, and the hinge is a moving part. Samsung Care+ is more worth having here than on a slab phone.
Our take
The Fold 8 is the most refined book-style foldable Samsung has made, and with 10% off plus trade-in it reaches a price where it stops being an indulgence. But the discount stack is doing a lot of the work — at full RRP it is a harder recommendation than the Galaxy S26 for most people.
